Portugal secured their second win at the U15 World Cup with a 3-1 victory over Bangladesh in Azerbaijan. The result confirms the team's progression to the next stage of the tournament, maintaining a perfect record of two wins from two matches.

The match started in the worst possible way for the national side, who conceded a goal after just 35 seconds from Bayzid. Portugal's response was swift and effective. Santiago Ferro equalised in the 6th minute, and Rúben Queiroz turned the scoreline around just five minutes later. In the 38th minute, a corner kick cross resulted in an own goal by Silvio Patrício, which ultimately sealed the final result in Portugal's favour. Rodrigo Brito added a third goal from long range to secure the win.

Tiago Matos, the U15 head coach, was pleased with his team's reaction. "Portugal supera susto e vence o Bangladesh no Mundial sub-15," the manager said after the match. The victory follows a 1-0 win over Burundi in their opening game, putting Portugal in a strong position in the group.

This positive moment for the youth ranks comes during an excellent run of form for the senior national team. In their last four matches, Portugal have recorded four consecutive wins, including a 2-1 victory over Norway on October 4th. The senior side's next challenge is a home fixture against Denmark, scheduled for November 14th.

Tiago Matos's U15 side are back in action on Saturday at 16:30 (Continental Portugal time) to face the Fiji Islands, a match that could secure top spot in the group. With six points and a positive goal difference, the mission is well on track.
