Midfielder Zé Rafael, 33, former Santos, signs a one-year contract with Alverca, a Portuguese club. He terminated his contract with Santos in July and was announced this Monday by Alverca.

Career in Brazil

Revealed by Coritiba, Zé Rafael played for Novo Hamburgo and Londrina before arriving at Bahia, where he stood out. In two seasons at Bahia, he made 128 appearances, scored 18 goals and provided nine assists. He spent six seasons at Palmeiras, where he had his greatest highlight and won 11 titles.
